Weekly Recap
With the past seven days behind us, we take a look back at action from both on and off the ice.

Holm

There were no new signings to report on this week but there have been a pair of departures to announce.

Philip Holm has played the past two years with Örebro and put up solid numbers from the blue line. In 82 games played he has scored 7 goals and added 34 assists. However, it was announced this week that he will be leaving Örebro.

- It is sad that we have ended up in this situation, it is something that has taken up a lot of time and energy recently. Now we have found a solution, which has been important to us. We need to learn from what has happened in recent months, while I feel that we can now look ahead and focus on developing the club, says Örebro Hockey's sporting director Henrik Löwdahl.

It is unclear where Holm will end up playing this season.

Pre Season

With puck drop on the regular season less than a month away now, teams are continuing their warm up with pre season games. This past week saw Leksand, Färjestad and Frölunda participating in the Strömstad Hockey Classic. With a pair of victories, Färjestad came away as the champions.

The CHL is also getting set to kick off as the first game of the Tournament will kick off on September 6th. A full schedule of all pre season games can be found here

Wallenius

The only other move to report on this week concerns The Växjö Lakers and one of their young prospects. Leo Sahlin Wallenius, 18, is a product of the Växjö junior program and was selected 53rd overall by San Jose in this summers NHL entry draft. He has not played a game with the Main Lakers team yet and they have loaned him to the Nybro Vikings so he's able to get more playing time in a top league.

- It will be perfect for Leo to get a lot of ice time at a good level. He will continue to train with us but will be loaned out to Nybro for games when it suits, says Växjö's sporting director Henrik Evertsson.
